I just turned 22 and I feel ancient some times, because I realize I have lived an entire quarter of my life. I realize that kids born when the Lion King came out will be turning 18 this year. I realize that all the sports stars I worshiped as a child were the same age I am now. I realize that at my age, my parents were already engaged, and that 4 years from now they would have their first child. In one year, I'll no longer be considered college aged, and in 8 years I'll be 30. I also find it kind of disturbing that most of the soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan are younger than me. It's just sad seeing somebody famous like an actor or an athlete, and thinking "I want to be like that person when I grow up" and then you realize that that person is actually born in 1991 and is now making more money than I ever will in 50 years.
